Dr. Ronald M. DiSalvo is a world-renowned cosmetic scientist. During his more than thirty-year carrier as a research scientist and product formulator for Hollywood personalities and international clientele, Dr. DiSalvo has been responsible for innumerable state-of-the-art products, both in the high-end anti-aging skin treatment and OTC drug categories.

Dr. DiSalvo’s wife Jeane is Asian, a doctor, and also a formulating chemist, who first turned DiSalvo’s attention to the study of Asian skin. From his in depth study Dr. DiSalvo developed personal care items for Dr. Jeane’s specific biologic and physiologic skin care needs, which products were made in their laboratory on an as needed basis.

Among Dr. Jeane’s friends and acquaintances, are many Asian women, many of whom commented on the distinct improvement of her skin in terms of winkle reduction, brightness, and more a youthful appearance. These friends marveled at Dr. Jeane’s renewed skin and facial appearance, and pressed her for her secret. Once they learned that the secret was she used only items specifically designed for her and the special biologic and physiologic needs of Asian skin—attributes they felt they’d not been able to obtain from cosmetic and personal care products they used, no matter how expensive they might be—they pressed her to obtain such products for themselves.

Pressured by the demand for help from her many Asian friends, and with her own keen knowledge of the aesthetic preferences and refinements expected of products used by Asian women, Dr. Jeane prevailed upon Dr. DiSalvo to apply the biological innovations he’d come up with for the care of Asian skin to the more delicate sensibilities of the Asian consumer that she knew so well, to design a line to make available to Asian women those high activity, high quality skin care products that heretofore had only been available to Occidental Hollywood stars and supermodels. This apparent need coalesced into the masterful blending of science and artful aesthetics, that resulted in the formation in 2005 in Hollywood, California, of a company that today produces for the international market high end, high quality products specifically for the needs and care of Asian skin.
